(a) The King’s Police and Fire Services Medal awarded for gallantry is liable, subject to His Majesty’s decision, to be forfeited if the holder is guilty of treason or sedition or of disgraceful conduct of an unnatural kind. The latter is to be held to refer to offences punishable under section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. (b) If the medal is awarded other than for gallantry it is liable to forfeiture if the holder is guilty of crime or disgraceful conduct in the case of a person still serving in the force; and if guilty of treason or sedition in the case of a person no longer serving.
